I think it's time to give up my Greenpeace membership.
In a fit of treehuggerness last September, I joined Greenpeace. However, the last contract I worked on was logged by Abitibi Consolidated. Besides, treeplanters don't make good tree huggers, anyways.
________
Planting's over for the year, so now I'm doing layout for pesticide spraying. I'm sure I will write more about that later. However, the end of the planting season means I'll be updating my Treeplanter Lexicon. Much fun.

I'm treeplanting now.
My entire body hurts, I could sleep for days, and I'm now always hungry. Again.
I guess I didn't really remember the cracking hands, trenchfoot, and blisters.
But it's still awesome.

04:58 pm - Travelling Poetry
I wrote a bunch of stuff while I was in Quebec, and I think I intended to post them on here while I was still there, to give you guys my impression of the place. I kind of forgot about them until now. Slightly delayed, here they are.

I'm back home, for now.
I still don't fit in here.

OH SHIT.
Oh, and I'm in Quebec City. It's pretty cool here, but I was going to bus back. And how am I going to get to PG? I believe the correct term for someone in my position is "royally fucked".

04:18 pm - I am beginning to get stoked...
This is a video starring treeplanters, those crazy bastids.
So far, my plans for the summer include:
-Going to MONTREAL.
-Going to QUEBEC CITY.
-Driving three quarters of the way across the country.
-Being back in Prince George in time for summer plant.
In fact, I'm leaving for step number one in three days.

I have what feels like almost boundless free time (even though it's not), and I think I'm going a little stir crazy. Every day for the last week and a bit now, I get up around noon, study for a few hours, and have nothing else to do for the rest of the day. I can see how this could get expensive very quickly.
Right now, I'm craving some externally-induced structure, or at the very least, something to do. Going for walks doesn't count.
But, it is less than a week until I'm in Montreal. Funny how that trip still seems to be somewhere in the far-off future.

Because even though they feed us all that bullshit about being one of the best schools in the country, the student body is still full of idiots:
